I am an amateur wine buff. I am a wine geek. I am not a wine expert. I am not a wine snob. I am not a wine bore. I used to expect comments that I am therefore a wine snob and bore. Instead, I am surprised by comments and snide remarks about how drinking wine equals drunkenness and drinkers are a lower form of life. We are such a Victorian society of uptight people.
