According to the Wall St. Journal, the ban will be on ANY shorting of stocks, not naked shorting. Crazy. Lame. Dog lame.
When financial companies were using shorts to drive high tech companies out of business, it was the “free market at work. ” Now that the financial companies are being hurt by shorts, it must be stopped at all costs no matter what! Why not just make it illegal for financial all stock prices to decline and be done with it.
