Seattle Naked Bike Ride, one of the World Naked Bike Ride events, nearly caused the city of Seattle to officially ban nudity in parks. Fortunately, the city came to its senses and dropped the plan. Whether in pursuit of more important matters or because of much of the Seattle public supports its naked bicyclists, we’ll never know. 

Seattle police received six measly complaints from the July 2008 ride. It’s unfortunate that people can file complaints, but cannot file support for such incidents. 

Confessions of a Naked Sushi Model reveals the Japanese practice of nyotaimori, naked sushi, where chopstick wielding diners eati sushi or sashimi from the body of a naked woman (nantaimori employs a naked man).

In fairness, you might wonder how one becomes a naked body sushi model. More specifically, you might wonder how one with zero experience of undressing in public becomes a naked body sushi model.

You can try it in New York City and elsewhere if you are looking for new ways to spend your money.  

A fun publicity stunt by Lush Cosmetics in Seattle’s downtown retail core sure beat the usual panhandlers, activists and sample giver-outers. Wearing only aprons to barely cover up their wares, the ladies were unfortunately shut down by police after generating much attention from the media and amused onlookers.

Ironically, they were handing "out literature promoting their unpackaged soaps and cosmetic products and pointed out the impact that packaging used by other brands has upon the environment."  But I don’t think anyone cared they were killing trees to promote that they don’t kill as many trees or use as much plastic in their packaging.

The Painted Cyclists are part of what makes the Fremont Solstice Parade the best parade in the universe. They paint their naked or nearly naked selves and ride bicycles in the parade. Bold, bare and having fun.

A Seattle nudist group is having difficulty holding a monthly nude swim at a city pool (link has 2 well-shot photos).  Lamelist considers the general state of undress to be fun and harmless, especially when it comes to skinny dipping. I hope the city straightens out this issue and the nude swims continue as a regular event.

For all the news stories about the controversy and protests over the Olympic Torch run in San Francisco today, I nearly missed this this gem of a story about a nude olympic torch run after the official run. Gotta love San Francsico! Even if this is a made-up story, it’s too cool to pass up.

Great video of a streaker at a cricket match. Streaking amongst guys wearing wire face masks and carrying a big wooden cricket bat is not a smart move.
