For fresh water, mainly rivers, I fish a few rivers in Washington State, with the main one being the Yakima River. I fish that river a lot.

Just beofre take off the fish swims toward the surface and bursts into the air (can be at speeds up to 55kmph). Once it’s ariborne it spreads it’s large pectoral fins. So the fish doesn’t really fly, it’s more like a glider.

I have noticed that CNBC has been bearish and doom-and-gloom since September. At the same time, they were the same way in terms of sensationalism when they kept talking about $200 oil back in June.

This fish can’t fly like a bird , but it leaps into the air , upto 6m [20ft] then glides for about 400m [1,300ft] before splashing back .

I also sold them in the 80s and liked the whole process. Gives kids independence & teaches them a lot. Just don’t let them go out alone if they are selling!

Yes, I support the girls and parent volunteers of Girl Scouts. I give them the money, say “keep the cookies and put 100% of my donation into your fund raising efforts.” That way the Girl Scouts do not have to give most of my donation back to the lame cookie company.

But if I hear another person on CNBC justifying the billions of dollars of bonuses to companies that are losing billions of dollars “I’m going to take a flame thrower to this place”. It’s almost beyond comprehension.
